Zona moved into the Stanton Nursing Home after Clarence's death in2001.

She died 8 August 2003 at Stanton Health Center, Stanton, Nebraska.She was 92 years of age. Services were held at St. Peter's CatholicChurch at Stanton with Rev. Timothy Lange officiating. Burial is atStanton Cemetery.

Zona had been brought down to the Church Hall on June 29th, 2003 forthe Armbruster Family Reunion and I had also had a very nice visitwith her in May when I was back for Alicia's College graduation. Atthat time she was still alert and we could do a lot of reminiscing.

Services for Zona Arlene Armbruster, 92, were held Tuesday, August 12,10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Stanton. Rev. TimothyLange officiated. Services were provided by Shultz-Vogel-JohnsonMortuary.
Mrs. Armbruster died Friday, August 8 at Stanton Health Center, whereshe had been a resident.
The daughter of Arthur G. Barr, Sr., and Anna Burtwistle Barr was bornApril 11, 1911, in Stanton County.
She attended District 13 in Stanton County and graduated from StantonHigh School.
Zona was married to Clarence Armbruster on June 19, 1934 at St.Peter's Catholic Church in Stanton. She was employed as a secretaryin the Wenke Law Office prior to her marriage. After marriage, shehelped Clarence in the farming and cattle operation located north ofStanton.
Mrs. Armbruster was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Stantonand St. Peter's Altar Society. She was also a member of the StantonView Garden Club and Bridge Club.
She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Julie and JohnBeeson of Stanton and Jan and Ken Meyer of Stanton; one brother,Arthur Barr, Jr. of Stanton; two sisters, Inez Melcher and her husbandArden of Stanton, and Ethel Weatherholt of Stanton; 10 grandchildrenand 13 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Brad Mass, Mike Beeson, Bob Beeson, Monte Boyer, AdamCerv and Mike Hamernik.
Honorary pallbearers were Karla Maas, Teresa Maas, Kristine Beeson,Ann Cerv, Jennifer Hamernik, Sarah Boyer and Morgan Meyer.
Mrs. Armbruster is preceded in death by her parents, husband and onedaughter.
